Wetag Consulting attends Christie’s International Real Estate’s 2018 Owners Conference in Buenos Aires, its first in South America

Two-day event welcomed network owners and brokerage executives from North and South America, Europe, Asia and Australia to discuss trends and innovations in luxury real estate.
Buenos Aires, Argentina (February, 2018) – Christie’s International Real Estate, the world’s leading luxury real estate network, chose Buenos Aires as its first ever global conference venue in the Southern Hemisphere. The invitation-only event for network leadership took place at The Four Seasons Hotel February 4 -6. Wetag Consulting joined network colleagues from around the world for the exclusive annual real estate forum.
Highlights of the conference program included an overview of the global economic landscape from “The Bowtie Economist” Dr. Elliot Eisenberg, followed by a network panel on the geopolitical landscape and the ways in which it is impacting the luxury real estate market. Digital marketing expert Brent Trimble of iQuanti provided insights into reaching affluent audiences online, and Jim Abbott from the FBI’s Money Laundering Unit discussed cybersecurity in the real estate industry.
“The agenda was rich in information relevant to the luxury real estate industry: online marketing, cybersecurity and how to anticipate opportunities in today’s economic arena,” says Dan Conn, Chief Executive Officer of Christie’s International Real Estate. “Network leaders explored diverse topics, including best practices in brokerage operations and marketing, corporate social responsibility, and ways for network members to leverage global opportunities in their local markets.”
The conference also provided updates on Christie’s, Christie’s International Real Estate, and the latest in the suite of services available to Affiliates to fully leverage Christie’s global reach and marketing power. Breakout sessions explored opportunities and challenges of technology in real estate, coping with the aftermath of disasters, and new opportunities for network clients in luxury developments located in prime global destinations. Time was also reserved for all-important networking set within some of this historic city’s most spectacular locations. ReMind Group, the network’s exclusive Affiliate in Buenos Aires, hosted an opening cocktail reception at the Yacht Club Puerto Madero, and dinner at the elegant archeological site, El Zanjón, offered a journey into the origins of the Buenos Aires and the history of tango. The 2017 Affiliate of the Year awards ceremony took place at Alvear Palace Hotel, an icon of Belle Époque grandeur since 1932.
