The dock and Park&Read – Parco Ciani

Nestled on the shores of Lake Lugano, in the middle of Parco Ciani, is the Darsena – the dock – a building inspired by English cottages with hints of Ottoman architecture. An official info point for the LongLake Festival, the dock is also the venue for Park&Read, the summer living room for those who love reading and nature. Tables, chairs and deckchairs, as well as a refreshment bar (at the Darsena) are also available to the public. During the festival the Darsena is scheduled to open daily from 10:00 to 21:00 and will host several Wor(l)ds Festival, Buskers Festival and Look&Listen events.

Rivetta Tell

When summer arrives, this little square, which gets its name from the statue of William Tell by Vincenzo Vela, comes to life with various initiatives, and events. You can rent pedal boats and motor boats or enjoy delicious artisanal ice cream at the “Chez Guglielm” kiosk. During the LongLake Festival this small square in front of Parco Ciani hosts the World Music concerts, several Buskers Festival performances, Family Festival shows and various dance events offered by Ritmo Costante.

Foce

With a theatre and a concert hall, the FOCE is a small cultural hub that entertains audiences with more than 200 events over the course of the year. The programme offers a wide range music and theatre shows, as well as cinema screenings, dance performances, and meetings. It also houses the Agorateca, a book and media library with thousands of DVDs, music CDs, books, and VHS tapes available for loan. The FOCE does not close in the summer, but becomes an official venue of the LongLake Festival, hosting several events in the Cello Love classical music festival, as well as a number of events in the Wor(l)ds Festival and Buskers Festival.

Villa Ciani

The historical and wonderful Villa Ciani, located in the park of the same name, has been the setting for many important exhibitions since 1933. Today it is mainly used to host temporary art and historical exhibitions, but upon request can also booked for private events and weddings. During the LongLake Festival the villa hosts the Look&Listen Events.

Piazza Manzoni and Piazza della Riforma

The nerve centre of the City of Lugano, a short stroll from the lake and surrounded by historical buildings, the two adjacent squares are the perfect setting for big events. Piazza della Riforma has always hosted Estival Jazz, whereas Piazza Manzoni hosts several of the Ritmo Costante dance events and is the main stage of the Buskers Festival.
