Ascona Polo Cup 2023: A weekend filled with glamour and horsepower

From September 1st to September 3rd, 2023, polo enthusiasts and luxury aficionados from around the world gathered at the old airport of Ascona to celebrate the 13th Ascona Polo Cup. This prestigious tournament, which showcases top-tier polo every year, drew attention not only for the sport itself but also thanks to a new team sponsor, Wetag Consulting, an exclusive affiliate of Christie's International Real Estate, and an enchanting accompanying program.

On the opening day of #APC23, the first matches were kicked off with an official opening ceremony. Local politicians were well-represented to welcome the tournament and mark the beginning of an exciting weekend. In the evening, the exclusive White Party was held at Lido Ascona, with only selected guests granted access. Here, the start of the Ascona Polo Cup was celebrated in a stylish manner.

Saturday was marked by a breathtaking parade where horses and cars made their way through the old town and along the Lungo Lago. Under the theme "Bond & Polo," guests gathered in a specially constructed tent for a unique evening where James Bond met polo, creating a one-of-a-kind atmosphere.

The highlight of the weekend was undoubtedly the grand final day on Sunday. From 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM, the decisive matches took place, and the excitement among the audience was palpable. In a thrilling final, Team Charly Zenger ultimately claimed the coveted victory at APC23. Team Wetag Christies secured the fourth place.
