The exhibition "Monet, Cézanne, Van Gogh... Masterpieces from the Emil Bührle Collection" combines Impressionist works of art with typical examples of painting from previous centuries. Thus, remaining true to the concept behind Bührle's collection. Bührle made a careful selection of his works in order to build a collection that shows the connection between the art of the Impressionists and that of their precursors and successors. The exhibition at MASI will start with a selection of antique works by Canaletto, Guardi and Strozzi and then continue with a selection of works by the main painters linked to Impressionism, including Monet, Cézanne, Degas, Van Gogh and Manet.
